Everything you need to know about us

The Smith's Harbour Recreation Committee is a non-profit organization and was first formed back in the 1970's. During the mid 80's this committee was disolved.
 
On October 1991, a new Recreation Committee was formed. The Committee became Incorporated on January 14th, 1992. This Committee has remained active to this date. Through out the years the Committee has seen to the construction and up keep of the Community Centre. Which, as since been named the "John Smith Centre". This centre is the home to the Local Service District office, Library, CAP Site, Family Resource Centre, Small Wonders Preschool and a Gym.
 
The Recreation Committee also shares responsibility with the Local Service District for the upkeep and beautification of the Limestone Park.
